This qualification is aimed at providing you with an awareness of the health implications of
smoking and knowledge of strategies and sources of information to assist in smoking
cessation. The course is aimed at fitness & activity instructors, community workers and
health care professionals. Learners will increase their knowledge and understanding of why
people smoke, the personal and social consequences of this and how individuals can be
helped and supported to stop smoking
